On Saturday 26th November 2011, Tim Cahill made his 250th appearance for Everton in their Premier League match away to Bolton Wanderers. This was also Tim's 500th appearance in English football. Everton went on to win the match 2-0 at the Reebok Stadium.
Having scored against Blackpool on Saturday 6th November 2010 at Bloomfield Road, Tim registered his 50th Premier League goal for the Toffees.
Scoring in the 2-0 victory over Merseyside rivals Liverpool on 17th October 2010, Tim notched up his 5th goal in Merseyside derbys. This now means that Tim is Everton's all-time highest post-war goal scorer against Liverpool. Having scored 5 times, he overtakes former Everton front-man Duncan Ferguson, who netted 4 times in derbys.
Tim is now recognised as the English Premier League all-time most prolific goal scorer with his head. He has netted an impressive 27 headed goals in just 170 Premier League games (1 headed goal in every 6.30 Premier League games). Tim now stands above Premier League greats such as Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand in the rankings.
Following an outstanding season in which Tim overcame injury to play an integral role in the Toffees run to the 2009 FA Cup Final and the Socceroos successful bid to qualify for consecutive FIFA World Cups, Tim received the inaugural PFA Footballer of the Year Award from the Australian Professional Footballers' Association (PFA).
Having already been the man to score Australia's first ever World Cup goal, Tim achieved the remarkable double by scoring Australia's first ever Asian Cup goal in the 2007 tournament, equalising for the Socceroos in a 1-1 draw with Oman.
Tim played an instrumental role for the Socceroos in the 2006 FIFA World Cup and, in Australia's opening group game against Japan, became the first ever Australian to score a Worl Cup goal in their dramatic 2-1 victory.
